What are (Newcastle) Downtown Dollars?

Downtown Dollars is one way our association supports our members and encourages shoppers to Shop Local! Newcastle Downtown Dollars can only be used at participating businesses within Newcastle Business Association and are sold in increments of $20.

How do Downtown Dollars work?

Shoppers can buy up to $400 each at our Downtown Dollar sale - they must bring cash, and they can purchase $100 Downtown dollars for only $80 cash. So $400 Downtown Dollars can be purchased for $320 cash! Shoppers save 20% by using Downtown Dollars at participating businesses.

How long do I have to use my Downtown Dollars?

The Newcastle Downtown Dollars expire January 31st, 2025.

What is the suggested use for Downtown Dollars?

We encourage shoppers to use their Downtown Dollars for purchases that do not need change back. In cases there is change needed back, retailers will offer a gift card for the balance of the change back. All retailers are using a method that suits them best, please be advised this is at the discretion of each retailer.
